  • Many expert organizations believe that a layered approach, such as adding after-market devices like electronic immobilizers, is the best way to prevent your vehicle from being stolen. A Tracking Device or Factory Anti-theft system can be defeated in several ways including the use of a signal jammer which can be purchased online. Most vehicles that are stolen are driven away and Tracking Devices focus on the recovery of your vehicle where MASTERGARD IMMOBILIZERS focus on Stopping Theft Before It Starts.

  • The M1000 Smartphone App, available for both Apple and Android Smartphones, works with our M1000 Relay to arm and disarm the immobilizer protecting your vehicle/equipment from theft. The M1000 arms automatically after one minute once your Smartphone leaves the Bluetooth Range (approx. 9-26 FT/3-8 M). The M1000 can disarm in a variety of different ways, Proximity-auto disarm when your Smartphone enters Bluetooth Range, Fingerprint or Face ID, and Passcode. Details on how each disarm mode works is available in your manual on purchase of your M1000.

  • The M1000 includes a 10A fuse cable extension to connect to a 12V in your fuse box. When the 10A fuse cable is connected the M1000 be ready to disarm when in range. When the 10A fuse cable is not connected, a paired Bluetooth Smartphone and M1000 will not be ready for disarm until your ignition is in the ON position (aux power) at which point your vehicle/equipment will be ready to disarm and start. If your vehicle/equipment has constant power to your Starter Relay the 10A fuse cable may not be needed to perform the disarm function.

  • The first Smartphone connected and paired with your M1000 is the ‘Master Phone’. The ‘Master Phone’ can modify or delete users (each M1000 can have up to 10 users, i.e., Smartphones, paired with the device) from the M1000.

  • This is the name of your M1000, usually a vehicle identifier such as make, model, plate #, etc., set by the ‘Master Phone’. The Relay name will be seen by all users when connecting to the M1000 to identify which M1000 they are connected to.

  • The ‘User Name’ is the personal identifier, usually a name, nickname mobile #, etc., to recognize each individual user (Smartphone) connected to the M1000.

  • If you are the ‘Master Phone’ you can modify or delete users (Smartphones) from the M1000. To access this feature please tap the blue Bluetooth icons at the bottom of the App Main Page. A box will pop up with the user names of all Smartphones connected and paired with the M1000. To modify or delete a user please swipe left on the name of the user and tap the modify or delete icon.

  • Mastergard recommends after pairing your Smartphone with your M1000 to change the default Key Code for additional security. Please reivew your M1000 Manual for instructions on how to change your ‘Connect Key Code’.

    Notes:

Changing your Key Code also changes your Pin Code. Please review your manual for details.

Changing your Key Code also changes it automatically for all users (Smartphones) connected with your M1000. No action from another user is needed other than informing them the Connect Key Code has changed should it be needed in the future.

  • All M1000’s come with the same default Connect Key Code. Mastergard recommends after connecting and pairing your Smartphone with your M1000 to change the default Key Code for additional security as only Smartphones with the Connect Key Code will be able to complete the ‘Connect and Pair’ process with the M1000. In cases like lost or stolen Smartphones, sold or purchased vehicles/equipment, and/or employees that are no longer with your company, you may no longer want a user (Smartphone) to have access to the M1000. Once the user (Smartphone) has been deleted by the ‘Master Phone’ even with access to the M1000 App they will no longer be able to connect and pair with and use the M1000 if they do not have the Connect Key Code.

  • If you purchased a new Smartphone, you will need to ‘Connect and Pair’ this Smartphone with the M1000 or all M1000’s you were connected and paired to with your old Smartphone as the M1000 App data does not transfer to your new phone. To do this please follow the ‘Connect and Pair’ instructions from your manual. To ensure your old Smartphone is not taking up one of the 10 allowable users (Smartphones) on your M1000(s) please ask the ‘Master Phone’ to delete your previous Smartphone from all M1000’s it was connected and paired with. If the M1000 already has the maximum 10 connected and paired users (Smartphones) you will need to delete your old Smartphone first to open a user spot in the M1000. If you are the ‘Master Phone’ you must ‘clear all bonded smartphones with your old ‘Master Phone’ and all M1000 users must connect and pair to the phone again after you have connected and paired your new ‘Master Phone’. Please review the Replacing a ‘Master Phone’ section of your M1000 manual.

  • If your Smartphone has been lost or stolen please immediately ask the ‘Master Phone’ or another User of the same M1000 or all M1000’s your Smartphone is connected and paired with to change the ‘Connect Key Code’. This will protect the person who stole or finds your Smartphone from using it to access vehicle/equipment by possibly disarming it using your Smartphone. After changing the M1000 ‘Connect Key Code’ please ask the ‘Master Phone’ for all your connected and paired M1000 devices to delete your lost or stolen Smartphone from the ‘Users’. After your lost or stolen Smartphone has been deleted please complete the ‘Connect and Pair’ process as per the manual for your new Smartphone.

  • The one-year from the time of installation warranty for the M1000 Relay Immobilizer applies to firmware issues with the M100 relay and communication issues between the M1000 relay firmware and M1000 Mobile Applications. During the one-year warranty period Affordable Vehicle Security will repair or replace, at no charge, the M1000 Relay Immobilizer if the product proves defective because of the relay firmware and/or the communication between the relay firmware and mobile applications under normal use.
